International Testing 2011 |
 |

The A.I.M.A.A Europe International Black
Belt testing is a very prestigious affair, and only held
when Grandmaster Hee Il Cho is here in Europe. This year
European Director, Master John Darcy hosted this event
in the National Basket Ball arena in Dublin.
There where over 60 Instructors and students
testing in front of the European panel which consisted of
A.I.M.A.A President and Founder Grandmaster Hee Il Cho 9th
Degree, A.I.M.A.A European Director, Master John Darcy 7th
Degree, A.I.M.A.A Ireland Director Master Peter Byrne 6th
Degree, A.I.M.A.A Scotland Director Master John Kirkwood 6th
Degree and A.I.M.A.A Ireland Technical Director Master Michael
Fitzgerald.

The testing kicked off with all 1st Kup to 1st
Degree being through the curriculum, one step and line work. This was followed by 2nd Degree testing students and last on the
floor where all the 3rd to 4th Degree testing students. The testing lasted over 4 hours with everyone
being pushed to their limit!
The final part of the testing for all groups was
the free sparring in which they had to show their skills and
control in front of the International panel. There was
some amazing sparring sessions as well as great pattern work to
be soon on the floor!

Most of those testing had come from A.I.M.A.A
Ireland, with a group from W.M.S.T and Scotland. Senior A.I.M.A.A Ireland students testing for 4th
Degree where Mr Daniel Farrell and Mr Andrew Butler. Also on the floor testing for 1st Degree was
Anthony Farrell who had been training hard all year for this
testing, as well as young Paul Gallagher who is Miss Walsh
Courtney's student.

Well done to everyone who testing at the
International Testing, I am sure results will be given out soon
to all those who tested.
